【莱戈拉斯BG】Erraghh lorin bit mik in strah

chapter 10

"orc blood." Gimli noticed some brownish liquid stained on the leaves of a tall bush. the four had been in these woods for less than ten minutes but they were sure that the two young hobbits was possibly alive. Aragorn and Gimli run on the muddy forest floor but the elf and the dragon, who both very much have obsession with cleanliness, chose to hop from one tree root to another.
"these are strange tracks." Aragorn bent down again to study the ground.
"the air is so close in here."
"this forest is old." Legolas looked around. tall trees with wide-expended branches formed the forest. "very old."
"the trees were shorter than a windcutter when I last came." Serafina picked up a small branch that had broke off from who knows which tree.
"when did you last came?" Legolas guessed it was before she was sealed into the glacier.
"I can't really remember, but it was only a few years before my Tapping."
"these forest first appears in the early years of the second era." Aragorn squinted at Sylvana, "how old are you, Sera?"
"2919, twelve years younger than Legolas."
"these trees must have been almost as tall as they are now when you were born." Gimli said grumpily. "stop being ridiculous."
"no." Serafina threw the branch into the distance, "it's the truth. I saw these trees when they were still very young."
 "that's not possible." Gimli laughed.
"no. it is possible." Legolas suddenly spoke up, "she was sealed in a glacier for more than three thousand years."
"these trees are full of memory and anger." there were small sounds echoing in the woods, "the trees are speaking to each other." Legolas spung around and looked at Gimli. the dwarf is raising his axe.
"lower your axe." Aragorn spoke quietly.
Gimli hesitated.
"they have feelings, my friend." Legolas told him. Gimli put down his axe.
"the elves began it, didn't they?" Serafina asked. "waking up the trees, teaching them to speak."
 "indeed." Legolas agreed.
"talking trees." Gimli murmured. "what do trees have to talk about? except the consistency of squirrel droppings."
"something's out there." Legolas suddenly said in Sindarin.
"what do you see?" Aragorn asked.
"the white wizard approaches." Legolas whispered back. he signaled to the others with a look.
"do not let him speak. he will put a spell on us." Aragorn whispered. he grabbed the hilt of his sword and pulled it half out.
Legolas had an arrow on his bow. Gimli held tight to his axe, ready to attack. Serafina slowly pulled splinters from her back pockets, and ever so slightly, she took a step toward Legolas, shielding him slightly behind her.
"we must be quick." Aragorn said.
in a split second, the four reacted. Serafina threw at least a handful of needles at the wizard in dazzling white light and Legolas let loose his arrow, but the wizard swept them all away with his staff. Aragorn's sword burnt red hot and he had no choice but to drop it. Gimli threw his axe, but it was blocked by the wizard with his staff. there was a wizzing of lilac color light and the next thing everyone saw was a white dragon, thirty feet long and covered with glimmering white scales, pounced toward the wizard. with one swept with the wizard's staff, he swepted the dragon from the air. it landed on it's back, rolled over, stood on it's paws, and opened it's mouth. purple light mixed with blue ones started to form in it's throat but then started to dim. it tried another time and then give up.
"you are tracking the footsteps of two young hobbits." the wizard covered in very strong light started to speak.
 "where are they?" Aragorn asked.
"they passed this way the day before yesterday." the wizard answered. "they met someone they did not expect. does that comfort you?"
"who are you?" Aragorn asked again. it was hard to tell from the voice who he really was. be him a friend or a foe. "show yourself!"
the light dimmed, showing a face that was the least expected. it was Gandalf!
"it cannot be." Aragorn's voice was bearly a whisper.
"forgive me." Legolas kneeled on one knee, "I mistook you for Saruman.
"I am Saruman, or ragher, Saruman as he should have been." Gandalf answered.
 "you fell."
Aragorn and Gimli turned, surprised to see the dragon speaking. Legolas didn't seemed startled, nor did Gandalf, who continued it's sentence.
"through fire and water." Gandalf then told them about his experience, fighting the Balrog and finally survived.
 "Gandalf." Aragorn said.
"Gandalf," Gandalf repeated his own name, "that was what they used to call me, Gandalf the Grey. that was my name."
"Gandalf." Gimli called the wizard's name, too.
"I am now Gandalf the White." Gandalf gave a slight nod at the company of four, "and I come back to you now, at the turn of the tides." he paused and looked straight at the white dragon. "it's quite a surprise. you didn't recognize me with your sharp sense of smell."
swurls of lilac color light started to form around the dragon, and with a puff of light, Serafina appeared again in the place of that dragon.
"you know, the scent is very disorienting when you change from Grey to White." she answered.
